Kendelle Parks (she/her) is a Black Canadian actor, and theatre artist, based in the GTA. She has a BFA in Performance Acting from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly known as Ryerson). Her goal is to bring her personal intersectional experience and worldview into flawed characters in complex environments.
Recent theatre credits include Ensemble in The First Stone (New Harlem Productions/GCTC), Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Tottering Biped Theatre) and Lexi in Hookman (The Creative School/Soulpepper).
As a theatre artist with experience in performing, writing, and directing, she is interested in works that expand what theatre ought to be, especially works that re-envision, or subvert classics, and common tropes. With an expanding practice in Clown and Stage Combat, she is drawn into stories that; use heightened or stylized language, portray morally grey characters, and embrace the silly or absurd.
Recent writing and directing credits include Insert Clown Here, which toured to four Fringe Festivals across Canada, and had a sold-out run at Toronto Fringe, winning The Spirit of The Fringe award. Insert Clown Here also had a two week run at The Theatre Centre.
